Tis why I complained about Mr Winnall getting a test when I believe not showing symptoms and coming up negative. I don’t care that he can afford a test. There are much more important people as in yourself that should only be able to be tested at the mo plus those hospitalised. Hope you recover fully
Stay safe as much as possible.

Onto my 2nd set of antibiotics, 6 weeks I think it is now since 1st showing signs. Still off work, no test, not seen a medical professional, no sign of any asthma tests ( which I was told I'd need a week before Covid-19 was mentioned.)
I've still got a terrible chest, crackles and wheezers all day everyday. I'm having breathing issues at times, tight chest etc.
Been told that there's a testing / treatment site in Kendray. Been told I'll have to go there if antibiotics fail, though my GP wasn't too happy about this because they said I'd be placed at very high risk of getting Covid-19 if I'd not already actually had it.

Has your go explained to you why he's giving you antibiotics to cure a virus?

Purely on the grounds that could have a lingering chest infection. Had a chest x-ray in February after going into hospital with chest pains (work related stage 3 hypertension). Had 4 colds since November due to being rundown.

I got pleurisy 4 years ago after coming back from Mexico. Initially thought it was a cold, summat I'd picked up on the flight back. 5 weeks later I wasn't coughing had very painful ribs and pain when breathing. X-ray came back clear.

I'm at a loss what comes next.

Needs to be a full investigation when this is over - in the unlikely event of that happening things will be brushed under the carpet or some minion will be made scapegoat!

I don't want to get ahead of myself but today I actually feel loads better. Still a small amount of crackling on my chest but for the 1st time in 6 weeks I feel better.
The antibiotics I'm taking are Doxycycline, I've got 7 days worth and just taken my 4th days tablet.
Doxycycline is used for treating malaria and is a broad spectrum antibiotic.
Anti-malarial drugs have been spoken about (by Trump ) as potentially helping fight Covid 19.
Could just be a coincidence, but there maybe something in it. Would love it if Trump was actually on the money for once.

Digging around I found this. All unproven in an official study mind you......

Of course what you could really do with doing is being tested, then if you had it you'd know you either started getting better on its own and the timing was a coincidence, or it genuinely had some effect.

    Update.
Relative out of hospital. and was clapped off the ward. Out of the hospital by staff. Pretty sure that was a very emotional moment . Agreed to take part in a drug trial. Not sure what that entails at the mo.
