    His response can be summed up in two words although he used a lot more “Fake News”.
    It isn’t fake news and what makes it more lethal is that it came from a Tory paper.
    Did Johnson attend Cobra? No but he didn’t need to. There was only one burning issue in government at the time and it was potentially losing half a million people. A true leader would have taken control, but Cummings was off sick.
    Did we ship PPE to China when we needed it? Yes we did, but they’ve given it back.
    Did Hancock announce it to be very low risk? Yes he did, because he thought it was at the time.
    Were we short of ventilators? yes we were and are.
    Since then we’ve lost going on 20000 lives and climbing,

    I am in Singapore and in the last couple of week its gone very sideways for the Govt here.

    The plan they had seemingly didnt involve catering for the Foreign workers. 30k+ they are now trying to quarantine and test.

    Its very difficult to get tested here in Singapore.

    To start Singapore seemed to have a handle on it , alas the past couple of weeks have shown that they didnt have much foresight , other than to not do mass testing as the facilities here could not cope if there were large numbers of +ve tests.

    It was frustration. The number of times I was lambasted as a woman hating racist for suggesting that Dianne Abbott was not up to the job was ridiculous. I posted an ironic post, which was jumped on straight away.

    Got to admit, I’m easily wound up of late. And realise in hindsight that I may have been a little over the top. I’m man enough to say sorry if I hurt pompous tykes feelings. To be honest, I think he’d be more hurt that I’d “suggested” he was racist. I’m fairly sure he is quite the opposite. I just wanted to point out the irony of fitting things to an agenda.

    A lot of hindsight all round being used.

    Sadly now the politics is taking over and you have CCP internet army trying to pin it on the US and the US claiming that if the WHO and China "had come clean earlier" all of 6 days then they could have got it sorted out. You only have to look at Trumps utterings to know if you had given him 6 months nothing would have changed.

    Its been big failures all round by Govts everywhere , whether they are held accountable or not who knows , but there hasnt been much leadership being shown

    I should bloody well hope so, considering that’s where most of it is made.

    The question is why we sent *any* PPE out of the country when we were on the verge of our own epidemic.

    Tbh while everybody is on edge I think we would be better off without these types of threads full stop.
    It’s bad enough in the current climate without putting barriers up between ourselves, we all know folk have different political leanings and views, but threads of this type are going to lead to major fall outs and personally I know I could do without unnecessary aggravation at the moment,

    I think we're all getting wound up with things at the moment . Its tough saying sorry sometimes as well especially if we think we're right and other people seem to be after a verbal punch up! I have lately started trying to imagine I'm in a pub chatting in real life when I'm on here. Makes me think a bit even if I think I'm being wound up

    I would say some countries (Taiwan, New Zealand, Iceland) have have some great leadership. Others, particularly in Europe and USA, much less so and some, Brazil and Belarus, have been almost inviting a firing squad to their door.

    Reports were in the press last week (ABC News and Israel Times) that USA Intelligence were aware of the virus and the scale of the problem in China in November last year - and informed NATO allies and Israel then. So he has had 6 months...
