    You do actually see a psychiatrist for dementia. They are the ones that give the formal diagnosis. Consultant psychiatrists in memory services diagnose.

    Those leaning to the right seem to have unerring knowledge of psychiatrists and dementia.

    And i have nursed quite a few younger early on-set dementia patients on our mental health wards: all under a psychiatric consultant.
    From a traditional labour supporter too :)

    Not sure why anyone would think dementia wouldn't come under mental health consultants to be honest.

    I think the original dementia reference on this thread was aimed at people who couldn’t remember what a sh**hole this country was in 60’s and 70’s, and probably don’t realise that the lifestyle we enjoy now is in part due to our membership of the EU.
