Has tested positive. Says he had no symptoms but took a test 'out of curiosity'. Hope he recovers, but how the hell he has access to a test just on a hunch is beyond me.
He can afford the £249 or so to get hold of one...... https://www.citydoc.org.uk/covid-19-home-testing-kit/
Well bugger me. Didn't realise you could just buy one. In that case, the government should be testing every fcucker under the sun instead of putting aside billions to furlough them.
Massive scale testing literally can’t come soon enough. Let’s hope that there’s millions of us like this.
It's getting a reliable antibody test that will be the breakthrough. I'm sure it will come but unfortunately it will likely take time.
To be honest if testing equipment is in such short supply why would any idiot test without symptoms. Waste of a test. When they are in plentyful supply then and only then should they be used on folk to see if they've had it. I hope Frontline workers are able to get tested everyday. If not then shame on him.
Whilst I would normally agree, it’s good this time that he did as now he knows to not go anywhere, even for essentials. There must be more to it surely, like he’s been around someone who has it and he thought he’d check if he has.
I thought they already had antibody tests, or is is the reliable part to which you refer? I'd like a combined test to show whether I have it, or if I've had it.
Actually you might be correct, the tests can't be sold to general public. But you can presumably pay for a test to be conducted by a medical professional.
