Just read the Facebook comments in the chron re the councils cancellation of green bin collections. Unbelievable Jeff. 1/2 of them criticising the decision. OBVIOUSLY YOU DOZY ***** Its far more important to have a nice neat lawn than peoples lives. Put the grass cuttings up yer arse. Instead of talking out of it.
You don't know what you've said there. It's perfectly possible to make loo paper out of grass cuttings.
Thanks for that. I’m going to get on with it once you give me the full ingredients and method. Ps don’t take too long my No2 will be shortly due.
I've never understood this. Do u lot not pay for grass cutting waste? Last 2 council areas I've lived in do, so being a tight *******, I just chuck the cuttings under the hedge and round the edges, in less than 2 weeks it's all composted down or been nicked by the birds and rabbits and I have achieved my singular concession to saving the planet.

Yes but are the other ingredients that make it bio degradable. Hope it’s not like that stuff that won’t flush at the first attempt. SAVE WATER.
Like one of them turds that just wint flush and thas got to push it under bend an flush at same time,
Is human excrement good for plants by any chance. Just realised on some of the skips on small sewage treatment works. It must be good for the tomato plants. Loads on em. Love tomatoes me. I’m on with it.
The decision by the council not to empty green bins was made long before this virus came onto the scene so I don't get your "peoples lives" quote I would guess the reason not to empty green bins is cost-saving due to council cuts brought about by the government's austerity
We don’t have to pay. It’s the first time I’ve ever lived anywhere where I can’t just put it over the back fence though (don’t think neighbours that way would approve) until we moved here.
I was chatting to a binman on Friday (from a safe distance obviously) and I asked him about the green bins. He said that it was a short term measure that the council had introduced recently just to limit the impact of the virus. All the other bins must be emptied whereas the green bin is less important because people can manage it themselves over a short period. He said that it would resume once things started to return to normal.
Green bins are suspended during the winter months. Have been for several years. They took the first one of the season prior to the outbreak. Ps you may be thinking of the rumour that went round that the council may consider separately charging to empty green bins to those that require it or need it. Eg Rotherham council and exileds comment.
Not in Doncaster at least, it's just a question of keeping workload off and not extending an unnecessary risk to key workers.
Our green bin was emptied a fortnight ago. Just before the decision to suspend green collections. Council website explained the suspension was Covid-19 related, to allow them to focus on the other 3 bin types.
Non of the blue bins were emptied on friday on our street. Are they not being done either? Not bothered myself but i wont put them out on the street if theyre not being done. Wish my neightbours would bring theirs back in cos the cardboard is always blowing in my garden and its peeing me off.
