Sureley shopping for mascara lipstick hairspray and perfume are not essential, but according to some they are rightly only letting 10 people in at one time but can browse and purchase anything.Prescriptions and medicines should be the only things people are obtaining. Its bad enough queing for medicine never mind waiting for some idiot picking perfume.

I was just on my way to buy a new bike from Sports Direct when I heard the sad news that they were closing.

Not soap or shampoo or toothpaste or hand cream etc then. It’s a bit hard to decide where to draw the line.

Strange but true. If you have bad teeth they may refuse to operate due to the potential risk of infection.

How do you keep washing your hands if you have no soap. And if you do keep washing your hands and have sensitive skin hand cream is important too. I can see your point on perfume or mascara but it’s also psychologically important for some people to be able to look and feel good. Do you also suggest supermarkets remove those products along with sweets chocolates all drinks except water and only sell basic food parcels?

What if the pharmacist is in the supermarket?

seriously; of all the things to be getting annoyed about this seems a bit trivial.

if everyone can keep their distance and stay safe I don’t care if they’re buying lipstick.

but the idiots barging past in the supermarket no matter how careful the staff are trying to be are a public health hazard.

We are supposed to go out less but also limited to what we can buy at supermarkets. So people have to go back or to other supermarkets more often. People are also panicked by the situation and its perfectly understandable.

Soap is the best weapon to fight the virus, so your argument is a bit flawed. I get your point that people should be considerate though & not hold people up when there are large queues by browsing for things they don't really need.
