Am I right in thinking that was a 2-1 win with a bunch of deluded missives housed in the segregation corner of the brewery stand. Time plays tricks with the mind but that’s the first game that came into my head.

We won 2-1. It was played on the 5th February in League Division Two and
the crowd was 13,535. We lost the earlier fixture at Molyneux in September
0-2. After that game we played them another eight times without losing.
They beat us by the odd goal in 1992 when both teams were in League One.

Was this the game where Ian Moores made his debut for us on loan?

Can’t remember whether he was from Bolton or not mate. Just remember it was a televised game and I thought I could remember us winning 2-1...?

    Black and white boots. Marvellous.

Also nice to see a time when our strikers got their kit dirty. Superb work rate from Derrick Parker. Herr Schmidt please take note.

Not sure about the short shorts though.

Yes think they should have played leeds but it was called off. I only know because I was in number 7 and they cane in. About 5 minutes later our mob joined them and then chaos ensued.

the commentary said that the pitch at Elland road was waterlogged, match called off. So the tv crew re-located to Oakwell.
