I'm sure a lot of people have seen that Acorn Brewery are doing home delivery to Barnsley now. If you're more Sheffield way, then Thornbridge Brewery have setup their pubs (inc. Sheffield Tap) as food bank donation centres and are giving away free cans of beer with every two food items. Also in Sheffield, Abbeydale Brewery are allowing you to nominate your local pub for a £10 credit on their next order if you spend £40 or more. Loads of other initiatives like click and collect, drive-thru, etc. but way too many to single out. I thought these were the most relevant for folk on here.
There are at least 15 in the Leeds postcode. There is Ossett Brewery also, although I don't rate them myself.
Ossett/Salt/Rat/Riverhead/Fernandes all owned by the same people. What do you mean by 15 in the postcode?
Kirkstall, Ilkley, Meanwood (Terminus), Ridgeside, Northern Monk, Old Bear, North, Leeds, Nomadic, Horsforth, Saltaire, Bobage, Carlsberg, Brewey Tap, Tap, Quirky.
Do like me. Get into homebrew. I've currently got about 100 bottles of very decent beers. I know it takes a few weeks to reach that point but it equates to about 50p per half litre bottle. You order the kits online.
I may have misread this and I apologise if so. Are they acting as a food bank and giving away a can of beer with every 2 food items they are handling out? I feel like that’s what I read but I can’t believe for one second that could be true as that’s an horrendous idea.
Nooooooooooooooooo. My mistake if it wasn't clear. They're collecting donations for food banks - becoming food bank donation centres. You, the donating person, get the can of beer.
I don’t suppose you know anyone who wants a couple of top tap King Kegs do you? We moved house last year and my home brew days had to end.
I see Par has suddenly been recognised and found herself on the front page of the Chronicle. I usually buy her pint when I see her.
