I realise it may cut much deeper than work, coronavirus and even the politics of the situation, but when this madness is all over, this nation will want to let its hair down big time. We'll be needing people like you to lead the way. Keep looking for support, and know that there is an end of the tunnel.
Thanks again folks. I know others on here are in the same situation, both with work & battling clinical depression. I'm very grateful for all the kind words. I'll be reading them again tonight to remind myself of your support, with only a couple of exceptions all of you are people I haven't even met & that is amazing. Living alone & now pretty much isolated from my friends, other than via social media it is support like this that means so much
Thanks mate, I'm really sorry you are one of the many that are also in this predicament. I do hope that some sense is seen that us lot are as necessary as the banks were in the financial crisis.
Just a thought JP and I don’t know anything about the logistics of this but how about doing a DJ session podcast for the BBS? Maybe get together with some of your DJs (online of course ) and doing some sessions it will help keep up with some of your existing customers and maybe introduce new ones . Just a thought mate and it’ll keep you busy even though you’ll probably have tons to do anyway . Loads of people self isolating turning to online entertainment be good to hear one of our own .
I'm chuffed to bits you're still fighting JP. There are people who are there for you. Music is one of those mediums that unites people and brings them together.
That sounds a great idea, I'll think about that. I'd certainly be up for us putting on a party when this is all over. There are other DJs on here too who might want to get involved. My mate has all the gear in his pub in town, I'm sure he'd be up for it.
Well done sir. You've just jumped two big hurdles there man. 1 you're still here. 2. You've looked above the parapet and had a positive thought. Excellent going.
You always have more friends than you realise. Don’t be worried about sharing things, if you need anything. Please get in touch. All the best pal. Ps the after virus party sounds great!
Glad that you're hanging in there JP. I don't know you personally, but I value everyone on this board, everyone brings their own thoughts and passion to the table, and the differences we have are highly amusing half the time, I find this board hilarious most of the time! But mental health is very serious and something that I never take lightly. It was a good start to my birthday to wake up this morning and see you online! Stay safe brother and know I am always here if you need to message me or whatever. As others have said, you are never alone in this world (even though it can truly feel like it) and talking/communicating can go a long, long way. It can be the difference between feeling that all hope is gone and realising that it's always there.
Absolutely RedArmy, I don't bother with many other websites these days, it's all here. JP, when this is all over, we should have a mass gathering before the next home game and I'll buy thee a pint.
You know your music, JP, so in the words of Curtis Mayfield Keep On Keeping On You’ll soon be Back on Top, as Van Morrison sang.

We'll have a big party, We could put together a playlist on the BBS from all the posters, covering everything people want to hear & I'll make a set out of it. We can all have an input & make it a great night & hopefully raise some money too for a good cause. Maybe part time staff at BFC who have lost income or something like that? Just floating ideas.
Thank you so much mate & to everyone else of course. I post a lot of random stuff & a lot of people on here will know that whilst i'm passionate about my own beliefs regarding politics / Brexit & the like I've got a lot of time for people with different views. I only draw the line with racism / sexist / homophobic stuff & the like, but everything else is fair game. I don't want to live in a bubble of people that have the same views as me, I do want to hear the other side, as that is constructive. Some social media platforms lead us into a one dimensional world, where we think everyone thinks like us. EDIT. A massive thanks to admin & especially to @andytyke for dropping me an email. That was going the extra mile. And for all the PMs.
