Mobile phone help

    Daughter has had a new i phone. She's activated the PAC code to keep her old number. It seems to have only done half the job.
    When she sends text messages it shows her number, but when she send i message it shows as a random number to other people (not her actual number), and other people can't I-message her.
    Giff Gaff say it's an Apple setting. Anyone got any ideas?

    Does the correct number show in Settings? (Settings > Phone > My Number)

    Ok, try going to Settings > Messages and turning iMessage off (should be at the top)

    Then turn the phone off and wait 10 minutes

    Turn it back on and check the number in Settings > Phone > My Number again

    Great stuff. Obviously now turn iMessage back on, if you want to use that. It should use the new number
