Not yet announced for England, but has been for Scotland and Wales.

Expected to be announced in the prime ministers briefing today.

People at our work who are normally ‘in the know’ have said that if our school closes, all staff still have to go in o_O not had any confirmation either way of if that is true or not but the special school staff (that closed yesterday) were all in today.

That’s shocking if true. Is that so that kids with parents in emergency services can still go in?

Talking on BBC news about schools possibly not being able to open again until September

The special school staff are in to clean apparently (not sure of the rules about completely changing someone’s job role like that).

Got this text message off school today.

In the event of national school closures, we would like to collate a list of children whose parents/carers work in priority jobs such as NHS front-line services, emergency services, food supply chains. If this affects you please reply to this text with your occupation.

Interesting being given parental advice from a man who won't/cant even confirm how many children he has fathered and by a group of people whose childcare arrangements revolve around nannies, au pairs and paid help.

They'll be getting full pay seen as though they'll still be at work, looking after key workers' kids!

Why would it be ssp, if they’re not sick?

They will also be putting work online and presumably marking it.

I doubt there will be much curriculum being done at these schools. Imagine your child is isolating doing nothing. They'd be falling behind the students being looked after at school.

Step daughter has been at home for a week since they had the sense to close the schools in Ireland. They're all doing classes via their phones.

From what I understand, the kids are working from home via laptops and phones/tablets etc.

If we are to stay at home we’ll be paid normal pay, if we fall ill whilst working from home, and so cannot work, we get whatever sick pay our contract stipulates with some flexibility if it has already all been used up.
