    Have to disagree.

If people want to do their best ostrich impression and pretend this isn't happening, that's fine - but I'd rather know about what's happening in this and other countries.

The media in general have been very irresponsible with their reporting but we do need them - they just need to start being more responsible and measured.

Social media is just appalling. This should be shut down.

How do you suggest they report that many countries are putting curfews on their residents? That many will die from this horrible virus? That people need to think about their hygiene and distance themselves from other people?

I’m really interested to see you sugarcoat this sh!tfest..

Ok, It was a little tongue in cheek. And abrubt when I read back... apologies. But I’m not sure that the majority of the reporting has been anything other than measured.?

I find it quite amazing that people suddenly think the media are less than truthful or helpful.

Some of us might have mentioned it during the last election.

It seems to be getting better but some of the headlines fed the panic that we're seeing from some people. There was has also been conflicting information and opinion dressed up as fact from some media outlets.

Responsible, fact driven and measured details are required. What we don't are headlines stating that the end is nigh.

It's not all the media. I listen to LBC and I think they have provided consistently well informed updates.

Not me, I don't form any opinion or reach a conclusion based on what the media reports. Anyone who takes anything published in the media, regardless of their political affiliation, as gospel really is a little naive.

Some of our media outlets are very informative and accurate some of the time, but that's it.

thats a fair and balanced view, my post wasn’t aimed at you and I agree with your earlier post that responsible reporting is required.

Watch the communications section of the simulation they did of it before it all this started -

They talked of censorship, come countries shutting down social media and internet completely to try and stop the misinfo and also how they will also try and keep the public onside with good news stories etc... and try and give daily comunication.
