seriously.... if they are stopping air travel then surely Eurostar and the ferries should be stopped too.

But the virus is already here. It'll be like King Canute trying to stop the tide coming in. Also what about vital supplies like olive oil, prosecco and sun dried tomatoes?

Business reasons though.....we are just encouraged by the government not to travel. I know this as, if they ban air travel (or the company cancel them), I will get my money back for flights I have booked next month.....as it stands I can re-book or lose my money. The devil is in the detail ;)

Least of my worries by the way.

No they shouldn’t You do know we aren’t self sufficient in food dont you and need to import quite a lot of it. And over half our bog roll. We still need to import other goods and also export them. There is a good argument for a strict control on who comes in but closing it completely makes no sense at all. Need to at least keep trade going

Commercial traffic needs to continue. I am sure that cargo planes will be continuing at the same level despite there being drastic reductions in passenger flights.

That was a commercial decision, based on a Europe wide travel ban.

same here. I can move my flights free of charge to god knows when and pay the difference or lose my money but can’t have a refund.

wonder if they will pay me the difference if I find some cheaper flights?

Ha ha....have to pay the upward difference though.

Ours are for Bundesliga games in Dusseldorf....if matches aren't rearranged before the cut off date for rebooking we will just pick a couple of weekends late in the year ,and when the hotel is cheap, and hope for the best.....nowt else we can do.
