That's already being brought up over here...... https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/huddersfield-town-worry-june-30-17923946
Other players will no doubt have had holidays with there family booked a long time in advance for over the summer doubt they will want to cancel stay at home and work through
with the postponement of the Euros it gives those in charge to change the venues for the matches - why on earth are the Taffs having two of their three group games (v Turkey and Switzerland) played in Azerbaijan - if the plane overshoots the runway they'll be in Iran! (Final group game is in Rome)
The player contract thing is something that will just have to be managed, whether through short extensions, loan windows or whatever. Certainly not a strong enough reason to cancel a season. Personally, I think they need to keep this season live, and resume whenever possible. Given recent projections, it seems chances of getting a full season in next season are reducing.
if the league does restart on april 4th, it will mean we will have just 3 games to catch up. As it stands we are at Brentford on 2nd may...... surely the 3 matches could easily be re-arranged for the remainder of may.
No, but is it fair for our rivals if they have more players that have? Or we/they play teams with players that are out of contract?
The more I think about it, the more the fairest option is start a new season and add this year's points to it.
It's going to be a shame that the last ever Brentford league game at Griffin Park won't be against us like the first ever MK Dons league game was.
Listening to Eddie Howe yesterday he seems resigned to finishing early. He spoke about someone won’t like it but hopefully it won’t be them.
