I used to like listening to the News Huddlines with him and June Whitfield. His appearance on One Foot In The Grave was also excellent.
Very sad. He was eighty three years old and enjoyed a long and varied career. One of those rare comedians who never had to use smut or obscenities to make an audience laugh. Truly a dying breed.
Are people ignoring the fact that one of our own fans have passed away? Why is it always the famous people that get mentioned when they die but when one of our own dies nothing gets said. Sad really
not being hard hearted or owt, but Roy Hudd has brought a lot of pleasure to many people over the years and was a comic genius. The fan you refer to is anonymous and really no different to anyone else dying, sad but unknown.
A reds fan passed away the other day but nobody on this board has mentioned it, but a celebrity has died and that gets posted... and I'll be honest. I do not have a clue who that celebrity is
With respect again I haven't a clue re the fan. But I assume you must be quite young. Roy Hudd to anyone around my age (63) brought pleasure and laughter to millions quite literally. A talented man in a variety of roles. Comedian, Actor. Scriptwriter and what seemed a decent bloke to boot. Many fans on here have lost loved ones and posted on here. and the person may not be known from Adam. But everyone appreciates and understands their loss. And lots have responded in a kind and respectful manner. How can people respond as if in my case know nothing about the persons death. Rest in peace Roy.
