Has anyone asked for their refund by phone today? I deliberately didn't call today but was planning to ring up tomorrow. How busy was it today?

I would imagine you would have to return your ticket to get the refund. Taking 7 tickets back tomorrow if the shops open.

The website said I could call. I'll have a go tomorrow, but if I can't get my money back by phone, will I get into trouble with our PM? Besides, if I have to make an "essential" journey to Oakwell, my costs will make the benefit very marginal. I reckon I'll be OK but I want to avoid listening to piped music for a prolonged period.

They can just remove the ticket from the system and the barcodes will no longer work. No need to take the tickets back

Probably doesn’t answer the question but I called into the shop at dinner time today to get a refund on ours (3). The guy asked for the tickets back, then seemed to log into the seating plan to cancel them as well

I rang the box office yesterday expecting to get the refund processed over the phone. I was told I had to send the tickets to the box office together with my name and address in order for them to process the refund.

That’s shocking. Can’t see the logic behind that at all, other than I guess guarding against people showing up with a ticket and blagging their way in.

I expect they require the tickets back. (If you want a refund) So they can re issue, for if and when the game takes place. else new tickets would have to be printed and old ticket barcodes deleted.

Makes sense they want back the items they sold. Otherwise you risk some chancer getting a refund and then like two days before it's due to be played (if fans can go) someone making a post saying they can no longer go and thus selling the tickets at a reduced rate, someone taking up the bargain and then not being able to get in when the reach the ground.

This, I've had to post back all my train tickets too for a refund and it makes perfect sense.

I've got 8 QPR tickets and would much rather post the tickets back and receive a refund in my bank account than having the risk of meeting face to face and the passing of money etc.
