And now that you say that I've just realised that I only recall going to the toilet at work for a number 2 about 5 times in 20 years which means one of two things. Either I don't go to the toilet often enough or I've just got a bad memory
I wash my sweaty boll ocks in sink with handwash and dry em' with hand towel. Laura hasn't got a clue
Also a fair point. I reckon I 'go' 1-2 times a day on average. Maybe I just use more toilet paper than most people?
I go to toilet 4 or 5 times a day and by the 5th ***** it's like using sandpaper i'm glad of tge relief my hand gives me. It's either that or use wet wipes.
As someone who is often out wild camping for days on end, I think he may have a point. Those crystal clear mountain streams you sip from may not be all they appear to be......
I understand the beans and pasta stock up, long use by dates and good food for energy and calorie intake. Bogs rolls different story, why buy 2 months worth unless you're supping 8 pints of Sam Smith's a day.
I think people need to remember that by been selfish & buying loads more than they normally will they’re causing a lot of problems for the elderly. Think of how many people are 70+ & not very mobile, many have to get buses & taxi’s & can only get enough to last them week to week & by clearing the shelves of essential items they’re going to have to make additional trips to try & get what they need. I can understand buying a little bit extra in case people have to do without for up to a fortnight but that’s clearly not what’s happening in many cases.
I think it's really important in the coming weeks that where possible we all reach out to elderly neighbours etc and get them their shopping etc. We've got a top old lad over the road and I did his shop for him today. Will do same until this is over, he also makes the best flower baskets every year, so he's teaching on what best plants to buy for him. Coronavirus is **** but we can rebuild our communities and help each other. Summat Tarn folk used to be renown for and took pride in.
I work at the Asda on old mill lane and its crazy what some of the folk are buying. One lady today bought 20 bags of spuds despite the fact that the best before date was next tuesday. The latest aisle to be pillaged is the home baking aisle as people seem to have decided that if they cant buy it already made then they might aswell make it themselves although i have no idea what the ingredients for bog roll are. Unfortunately a lot of us on the shop floor are starting to get verbally abused as apparently its our faults for allowing people to buy so much stuff. Ah well, stiff upper lip and all that
I do love and enjoy a good toilet roll (something I never dreamt that I’d say). But the worlds going bonkers.
126? I think your maths is a bit off. As I've explained, we go through about 4 a week (which, it turns out is bang average for 2 people), thus I was worried 7 wouldn't be enough for 14 days. So i bought another packet.
Went shopping earlier this evening. New Lidl at Mapplewell - no hand wash or flour at all. Managed to get 4 loo rolls. Tried Aldi at Sandal. No hand wash or flour at all. Then tried Asda at Sandal. No flour whatsoever and not a single loo roll in the store. They had about 10 bottles of hand wash left. Didn't check pasta levels at last two stores but Lidl were very low on it. Unreal.
As usual I was in Louth today. Went to Aldi where toilet rolls were in plentiful supply. Bought two packs. Nobody was panic buying, in fact I was the only one at that moment getting toilet rolls, almost making me feel guilty for getting some. The reason I was getting them was cos we needed some. Quite a good excuse. I haven't seen empty shelves anywhere yet. Where and why are other areas experiencing this?
If the chat(shat?)'s as good as this thread for the next few weeks while the footy's on hold, I think the BBS is in good hands. Great job people. [Beans, pasta and toilet roll also been wiped out (pardon the pun) in Bedminster Asda, Brizzle. Madness]
