    Wouldn’t be surprised if the Euros gets cancelled or moved back a year so the season can run into the summer

    I think we have more chance of staying up if they play behind closed doors, no abuse, no booing , no big followings for the other team for referees to be influenced by or to spur the other team on and our fans have been quiet now for a while with not much to cheer about so not too much change.

    And yet their infection rate is currently 4 x ours. Strange...

    And Boris Johnson has said nothing of the sort.

    I can't believe I'm about to defend Boris Johnson but....he didn't say that. He said that one thought people have is we could do that but the advice he had received was a balanced approach was best.

    Regarding games in different regions of Germany having different restrictions on them, is this something that the German Federal Government have no power over and it's up to each individual province/state?

    And do states in Germany work in much the same way as states in the US with massive amounts of legal differences etc?

    I've not a clue about the German laws as regards to the virus, but I do know that the laws vary from Bundesland to Bundesland. So much so that Bavaria, for example, has about 6 bank holidays more than Hamburg. Crackers.

    I got it from a German friend who we attend games with...

    "However, Spahn cannot give much more than recommendations. It is not up to the federal government to decide whether an event can take place. Section 28 of the Infection Protection Act states that the "competent authority" can "restrict or prohibit events or other gatherings of a larger number of people". The competent authority is usually the local health authority. The law stipulates elsewhere that decisions on such cancellations are made on the basis of a proposal by the higher-ranking state health authority."

    I believe Spahn is the health minister.

    I think Dusseldorf's mayor decided on Friday's game being behind closed doors.
