Apparently the Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has announced he's got the Coronavirus. He met players and posed for pics with fans on Friday, so could have big implications for footy. He also owns Olympiakos who play Wolves on Thursday.

They played at Arsenal less than 2 weeks ago also (I think).

Could be the start of chaos imo.

Would imagine it is likely their game against Wednesday will be postponed and it could trigger the UK to follow suit of Italy and Spain and play games behind closed doors.

Oh dear - thats not good at all cant see how if he met the players they can play for at least the next 2 weeks Might be a problem for Millwall as well - and by extension our game against them next week.
Hope he hasnt passed it on but there has to be a high risk Also hope that he makes a fast recovery

As long as they all washed their hands!

Won't make much of a difference. Washing your hands doesn't automatically stop you getting it if you're in such close contact with someone that has it, It just stops you passing it on to everything you touch.

The fact is, if he was close enough to the players and fans to shake their hands, he was close enough to pass it on airborne.

Is there a test developed yet to identify it?

It was a genuine question, because if they have surely if all the players are tested and pass they can continue to play?

Redhelen wasn't being serious. She knows you can catch the virus by being in close contact.

If that's aimed at me, you're way off on what my intentions were.

I honestly don't know that she does know that. The only thing the media have been talking about is washing your hands, so it would be quite easy for someone to think that will protect you in any situation.

I think that was the point she was making.

Of course there is a test - how do you think we get the figures for rate of infections?
But I dont know if it works in the incubation phase or how reliable it is as there are certainly cases of people being cleared initially then failing a new test a few days later.
Also I dont think there is the capacity to test everyone who may have been in contact so I think only suspected cases are tested at the moment

You're probably 100% correct. Looking back, I didn't notice the '!' at first, which leans it to that side.

Either way, my comment still stands! :D

This is what I don't know, either. At what point does the test begin to allow detection?

Let's just cancel this season and start again from scratch in August.
