After seeing Stones effort v Villa i was thinking others i've seen at Oakwell. Ones that sprung to mind were:

    1. Futcher (i think it was) lobbing the keeper with a back pass (maybe against west brom - long time ago and i was only young),
    2. Dave regis's classical unmissable miss
    3. Fallon going and getting on the Barnsley bench after he got clapped off by barnsley fans when playing for the opposition (Plymouth at teh time i think)
    4. Schmeichel miskick v Hendrie who bobbed it in the back of the net in the FA Cup at Old Trafford

    Sure there are lots more.

Stoke midfielder Toddy Orlygsson missing from basically on the line.

The whole place was shocked when it didn't go in. Did it hit the post, I think I remember?

Don't think I've dreamt this one. But I seem to remember a goalie at oakwell. Thinking the whistle had gone for offside, rolled the ball towards our striker. Ready to take the free kick. Our striker. (Joicey or Wilde spring to mind) kicked the ball into the net. Goal stood. :)

An Oldham defender scored a brilliant own goal back in the 80s. It may have been Willie Donachie with Andy Goram in goal. We were 1-0 down and not looking like equalising when a defender under no pressure on his 6 yard line smashed an attempted clearance into his own goal giving us a point none of our own players looked like getting for us.

That was a certain Paul Futcher in a 1-1 draw not long after the start of the 1982/83 season, about eighteen months before he signed for us.

I remember a Chris Morgan and Kevin Miller calamity which I think resulted in an own goal

@Merde Tete and I were pissing ourselves at how bad it was from what I recall although actually perhaps we were really annoyed.

    Who was that against?
