Bloke with a drum constantly beating the rhythm for their chants. Goalmouth scramble for their opener at the far end. However, we should have been back in it, and even ahead, after two chances wasted, firstly by Jacob Brown, and then Cauley Woodrow just before half time. Both of them shot from the right side of the box with a clear sight of goal, but pulled their shot narrowly wide of the left hand post. With Woodrow's chance, he could have squared it to an unmarked Chaplin about 5 yards out. Second half was one to forget. I think it was both Halme and Solbauer let their player escape, to shoot past Collins. Disappointed today with both Ritzmaier and Bahre, who made no impact upon the game. Also Patrick Schmidt and Clarke Oduor disappointed me. After the second goal, Reading pulled 10 men back behind the ball and we didn't have the craft to pass our way through - a very difficult task. We were over elaborate and reluctant to shoot. Worst moment perhaps was late on when Alex Mowatt blazed a shot about 50 feet over the bar, resulting in loud chanting of "That's why you're going down."
Every shot by Mowatt this season been wild , needs his confidence lifting imo , get one on target and they’ll all start going in .
We weren't out fought or out muscled. We managed to out-self destruct for goal 1. Then make their striker look outstanding for goal 2. Otherwise we outplayed them.
i think you and me watched a different game me old. We were terrible in possession, every pass was either over hit, under hit, or safe and ineffective. Don’t get me wrong reading were terrible but we were even worse.
The first half was decent with two great chances, but come on, that second half was so poor. Outplayed them? I'm assuming you're being ironic.
I thought that we were in charge and were let down by chronic finishing. How Brown didn't force one chance over the line i'll never know. I was four pints to the worse by the end though.
Oduor has been off it for a while now, no better options tho same as alot of other positions. The same players play week in week out and energy levels decrease as a result...... I thought halme made their striker look like usain bolt for the second goal! Looked like he was running in treacle.
I felt for Halme for the second goal. Thought him and Sollbaur looked assured and were actually trying to force the issue a bit. As others have said, with the back line strengthening attention turns to the front line: first half they were there for the taking, second half we ran into brick walls time and time again, resulting in pot-shots from 30 yards. An off day, and we move on. But disappointing as I thought Reading were bang average, and if we'd scored in the first half it would have been a very different game and I'm confident we would have won that.
Mowatts' shooting is by far the weakest part of his game and it has been for two seasons. It's nothing new.
Outsung I never heard much from their fans when I was streaming it? Heard a few kids chanting to a drum now and again
