Used to really dislike the bloke, but listening to him speak and is down to earth attitude, the problems he as been through plus the money he gives to charity I now find myself feeling bad for judging a book by its cover

When he said he was giving his purse to charity from the first Wilder fight theres absolutely no proof he did that. In fact I think its fairly clear he didn't.
Still he's a very entertaining bloke and has done a lot to raise awareness on mental health issues.

He didnt give his whole purse but I'd like to believe he gave a certain amount if you read his book he talks about getting shaufferd about in a helicopter paid for by wilder before the 1st fight going for meals on Hollywood boulevard then goes on to talk about his shock at the rich and poor divide there just streets away homeless people with nothing which is what the eagles song hotel California is about. So I think they is probley some truth in him donating money to homeless people.

Wilder has activated his rematch, blamed defeat on the costume he came to the ring in and they are expected to face each other at the end of July. He's crazy and it shouldn't be happening. After the first two fights being so one sided there isn't a selling point to think the outcome would be different again.

Get that silly trilogy out of the way and then have a Battle of Britain around Christmas time for all the belts, with the sweetener to Dillian Whyte being he will get the first fight after that.

You didn't judge it by it's cover though did you? You judged it by the homphobic, sexist comments that they author had 20 odd chapters into the book

Eh? Why would I be calling you those things?
What I was saying is that thinking Tyson fury is a homophobic, anti-Semitic, racist, sexist misogynist isn't judging a book by its its c it's judging the book by what the author (Tyson fury is the author of his own life as we all are) has 'written' in his book

Im not sure anyone in the world particularly wants Fury v Wilder 3 to happen, and that includes Wilder. If he's got any sense he's activated the clause as a negotiating tool and will take either a payoff to drop it, or a guarantee of a fight against the winner of Fury v AJ. He'll then go back to sparking out nobodies for the next year or so to rebuild hype, whilst praying that AJ wins.

Big fan of his latest comments. Fury didn't hurt him at all. His ring walk suit was just too big.

Wilder won maybe 2 rounds out of the last 2 fights (19 rounds) I cant see any other outcome now than a fury win but he obviously wants one last big payday.

There was rumours that he gave 9 million or something but like you said it was never confirmed by himself, reading that part of his book he said he was shocked by the poverty that he saw in Hollywood and that it was like a 3rd world country off the boulevard strip. I do think he is a better bloke than people give him credit for and not like another British heavyweight boxer who seems to put on a act for the public.

None of that’s true apart from possibly the last bit about taking on Fury as he thought he was getting him at the right time.

Wilder wasn’t a name when Klitschko was champ. He had no PPV backing & didn’t sell tickets. The only way that fight could’ve happened was if Klitschko made an offer to Wilder to fight in a Germany which never happened.

Dillian Whyte didn’t want the Wilder fight, he might talk a good game & say he wanted it but the facts are he didn’t. There was a final eliminator put forward by the WBC between Ortiz & Whyte & Whyte ducked it. Instead he chose to fight Chisora agajn. If he’d beaten Ortiz he would’ve had the Wilder fight months ago.

I remember boxing fans all saying Wilder would duck the Povetkin fight & bin his belt a few years ago but he travelled over ready to fight until Povetkin tested positive just before the fight.

They also said he wouldn’t fight Ortiz yet he fought the man no one else wanted to.

Even Stiverne first time round was a decent fighter, top 5 ranked at the time. Duhappas had flattened a still decent Helenius before he fought Wilder.

His resumes far from great but there’s no questioning his heart or his intent to make fights.

Imagine how good he'll be when he doesnt have that heavy outfit to wear on his ring walk.

After the 1st chisora fight they was big call for the 2nd it was 2 british heavyweights on box office and obviously made him abit of money, more money than fighting ortiz would have, I think whyte was thinking about the money.

Notice wilder has sacked his coach who threw in the towel when in reality he should be giving him a bonus, could have ended up seriously hurt.

if wilder had been fighting a more serious guy and not a showman then he may have been in very serious trouble, fury toyed with him the whole fight and let him off lightly, unlike his costume
imagine tyson in his prime fighting wilder? thank god they were years apart
