    I thought he was a biased **** wearing rose tinted spectacles that could give Gary Neville a run for his money.

    He even thinks Brown handled the ball before the keeper took him out. I watched the incident several times in the YouTube slow motion replays and the idea of handball never occurred to me. Did I miss it?

    I can see why he might think that if he is selective about what he watches. The camera angle used in the Sky online video highlights when the ball bounces up to shoulder height and Browns arm is raised and gets between the camera and the ball looks a bit like it may have touched his arm - I wondered that the first time I saw it. From all other angles though its clear this was an illusion as Browns arm never gets within a couple of feet of the ball. It was a clear penalty - had it been given against us I would be railing against the goalkeeper and the ref saying it was a pen but we never get those.

    I thought the ref was one of the better ones this season - he got the big decisions, right, didnt fall for some of the Fulham falling over (though they were much less bad than some sides - possibly because they didnt get away with it) - I thought that after the pen he gave them more soft decisions than he gave us - but I had a friend with me who supports another club and his view was the ref was pretty fair - he didnt agree with all the minor decisions but his view was it was one of the better reffing performances he had seen for a while - as I tend to be a bit biased I will go with his view

    Joking aside, I don't think you go away much (nor do I) but it would have been very interesting to compare your assessment of that game on Saturday.

    No you arent and not as patronising either. Dont think I could cope with your posts every week if they were written that way
    it also took him a lot of words to say that they didnt get to grips with our press and and but for a dodgy pen the result could have been different.
    I have a friend who is a Fulham ST holder and was at the game - his view was a much simpler Barnsley were the better side - much sharper and created far more chances and deserved the win - but I guess his view was coloured by the result
    (Before the game he told me that they had been poor but somehow getting results but on Saturday they got exactly what they deserved)

    I did not go to Fulham, so anything I say will be a guess. However, in my match report of the Birmingham game, I concentrated on the effect that I thought the weather conditions had on the game. Barnsley were the team that had to go looking for the win, for the reasons given. Birmingham just kept it tight and played on the break. In those conditions, I felt that the mistake would be made by the team that was pressing, and that is what happened. At Fulham, the weather was the same, but the need to press was reversed. Fulham was at home, Fulham needed the points in their push for the top 2 and crucially, Fulham made the first mistake and that reinforced our plan to play on the break.

    Now as I say, I was not at the game and consequently, all of that could be BS, but that would certainly have been in my mind.

    Not exclusively, but yes, I have my moments. Most of my prog albums are the old classics, plus an odd bit of more (relatively) recent prog. I don't buy anything like the number of albums that I did in my younger days, so I'm pushing the boat out a bit today. Don't tell the wife.

    I rarely, if ever, agree with anything you post. There's nothing wrong with holding alternative views, though. However, I believe you have as much right as anyone else to air your opinions.
    For what it's worth, I don't believe you're boring. Just wrong usually!:D
