    We don't report attendances to HMRC. They don't send a form out asking how many people were at games.

    We report the income.

    You only have to google it to find out why clubs do it, theres a number of reasons. Read the BBC one from 2018.

    Income and attendance are different words with different meanings. They do it to inflate their figures in order to mislead potential advertiser's. That's the sole reason and it's wrong.

    its income from a sold seat so that sold seat is included in the attendance.

    It's alright, nobodies died. We'll be moaning about the town centre redevelopment again on here once the season ends.

    But it isn't the attendance and to be honest you know it isn't because you're an intelligent bloke. Justifying why they lie is one thing, pretending it isn't a lie though is just daft.

    I'm thinking about skipping the next home game, killing somebody and having a cast iron alibi. Not only was I at a football match proven backed up by Barnsley football club but 12000 people must have seen me there unless they're blind.
