I know all of that, but we haven't had workers rights reduced nor have we become slave labour for the evil tories which was the point I was making originally. There will always be rich and poor, always have been, but those of us who work hard unfortunately have to subsidize those who won’t. Hopefully more jobs in Barnsley will give them less of an excuse.

The point you're not getting is that those who work hard in your category are subsidising the rich not the feckless scroungers. The gap is growing for workers and those at the top.

Hermes. The company who pay their drivers by the drop, so if they can't actually deliver and have to take it back, they don't get paid. This is why they aren't fussy where they leave things, which then go missing and cause people problems. We won't buy now if we know Hermes are the delivery company.

All of those are also self employed as are the sub depo managers.
A large majority of the drivers do it for and very little gets declared and tax etc not paid.

Very disturbing reading...for those who assert there's no "slave labour", it may not be described as such, but it's a very disquieting read on working for Hermes

there's a massive warehouse being built apace on the Tankersley Industrial Estate - next to the Holiday Inn near McDonalds.
Also enlarging roundabout nearby - filter lanes traffic lights etc.

Virtually every car main dealer also employ self employed Valeters through contractors. Those valeters get paid a pittance per car and then get deducted around 12% of there earnings to pay for insurance, uniforms and products, making it very difficult to earn even a reasonable wage.

Nice to see the ‘Hard work’ label is still alive and kicking David Cameron will be pleased. What is ‘ Hard work’ anyway? Doing the job that you get paid for doesn’t necessarily mean your working hard does it? Indeed, some would argue if your working so hard you’re probably not working as efficiently as you should be. Working Terms and conditions have been massively effected up and down the country. The constant Govt attacks on the Trade Unions continue. The Trade Unions regularly provide data about millions lost to workers in unpaid overtime and unrewarded going ‘ above and beyond’ Let’s not forget the Employment law tribunals that changed massively in favour of the employer. Workers haven’t had their rights reduced indeed.
