Otherwise why have so many cockeyed decisions been made by our illustrious owners throughout the season.
Of course it was there’s been a fair old wedge trousered from the sales of Pinnock, Lindsay and Moore suspect the £5m from promotion covered the new signings and new contracted players / wages
They do seem to be deliberately not addressing the obvious areas of weakness in a serious way. Go figure.
I don't think that's the case. At all. I do think relegation was an accepted risk - sign these lads, if they do well we stay up. If we don't we go down, keep 'em together next year & then odds on promotion. Like last time. If we didn't want to accept the risk of relegation (or to at least minimise it) there's no way we would've gone down this path. We've been odds on from June & all historical data tells you the same.
This post just sums up just how much of a car crash these buffoons are presiding over. Normally I'd consider it to be b0llox, but I can't help agreeing with it...
I'm just glad I got the chance to see BFC that one season in top flight. I'd be surprised if that ever happens again.
Top flight is not what we should realistically aim at anymore but been an established Championship club is. It’s likely to take us a long time to get there now though but we have to hope that one day it will happen. i.e. that needs to be our level of ambition as supporters
Look lads (and lasses) read what you’re saying! It makes no sense. I think you’re seeing conspiracy and plotting when the reality is, it’s just plain incompetence. No more no less. To be frank, if it were all a ‘ cunning plan’ I’d have a grudging respect for the Board. But I genuinely think they are just not very good at making football decisions. This coupled with the communication skills of Ann Widdicombe.
If I wanted to make money I'd definitely plan on relegation and the loss of at least £6m. WTF are people smoking?
But a by-product of that appears to be relegation mate! I genuinely believe that their model is better suited to league one - they have no desire whatsoever to invest and take us up to the next step ( which sadly would be lower / mid table championship now - a sign of how far we have fallen ) so why should we want them here? At best we will stand still and at worst we will go backwards under their tenure. There are no reasons for optimism based on their actions in my humble opinion
I just think its a mixture of inexperience and incompetence from top to bottom.. or if not, very close to it
I have absolutely no idea what its like to run a football club but it is blindingly obvious where we are weak. They have football men at the club (and departed) who can (and have) told them but they choose to completely ignore any advice. It's more than incompetence in my opinion.
You make sense but the level of incompetence you're asking me to believe this consortium to be capable of is incredulous. Particularly as these are meant to be successful businessmen/women. I ask, like many others, why have they purchased BFC? To make big money we need to be successful - but their actions speak much, much louder than their words. Maybe they're happy with moderate returns and not as greedy as some think.
