    Just mentioned on Sky Sports News that we're in talks, with Celtic, to sign Luca Connell on loan. Sunderland also interested.

    Defender/midfielder according to google.

    Strange loan that one when we need experience. Starting to think they have totally lost the plot if they believe an 18 year old with 10 pro games under his belt is the right player to help us.

    Apparently so, cant be that much of a wonderkid to not play a game for them though.

    Celtic aren't usually afraid to get the youngens in and playing. They've played the 16 year old Dembele a few times, and Frimpong the 18 year old full back has played a lot of football this year.

    If this is true ill give the lad my full backing and wish him the best, but im not sure it is what we need at the moment.

    Unsure about this. If it was simunovic I would be happy as he has experience and would be very good but o Connell hmmm of course I’d give him a chance to prove me wrong

    We are looking at an 18 year old with ten appearances, none this season. Who plays left back or defensive midfield - not exactly top of the list of our requirements.

    Meanwhile Luton have signed a centre back on loan from Spurs, aged 22, who has 76 games at this level under his belt, including 12 this season.

    Tbf he can play lb and cdm. Move halme to cb and get a decent cb in and shift him to cdm can’t do any worse what we have been doing lol

    Halme at cb? Seriously? It gives me the shakes considering it. I know that’s meant to be his position but he’s been awful there.

    As have they all to be fair.

    Another left back isn’t really what’s required and I’m less than convinced whacking an 18 year old kid straight in to protect the back four in a deep midfield role is that sensible an option either. Brain dead signing - as has been said, if he was ready for championship football he’d at least have made an appearance in Scotland.

    It might pay off signing him but that's not really the point is it... we shouldn't be looking at youngsters in his (or our) predicament.
