Don't think it works like that does it? We would have been allocated a different no.to the one Portsmouth had ie.we wouldn't have been ball no.15

I think that is how it works now actually. I seem to remember it changing.

Yeah we wouldn't have got Arsenal as we would have been allocated a different number.

I thought the numbers were linked to the previous round ties in some way. Then divide by the square root of pi, multiply by Gary Linekar's age, and take away the number you first thought of.

    Or summat like that.

Pretty sure we would’ve got same as Pompey. The numbers are linked to the previous draw apart from the first and third rounds I believe, when it’s alphabetical order I think. Could be wrong like.....

This draw certainly wasn't alphabetical. Manchester United were No.1.

Do you ever wonder if somehow the result of a game would have been different if you’d gone/not gone because that would have been an alternative reality?

This. Even if we had the same number we would have just been in a different draw, it would have been no more/less likely for us to get arsenal than anyone else

If we had have been ball 15, it would have been Arsenal at home. A real money spinner.?
Can't see Portsmouth getting past them and with Man City at Hillsborough it could
well be the end of Wednesdays interest in this years competition.
