On BBC sport if anyone can face them https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/51240261 Speechless at our defending Superb goal from Cawley Browns miss wasn’t great but not the tap in some have the impression it was. The header in injury time straight at the keeper worse imo. Though at least that set up Connor At least we can concentrate on the league now. Win at charlton (haha) and all is forgotten
It wasn't a tap in but having had a touch to control he shouldn't have drilled it wide. For me our heads looked elsewhere, Oduor was day dreaming thinking ball would go out for one of the goals. Halme stood watching a player down as they ran past him thinking a foul had been given but it hadn't, Anderson drag back into his own 6 yarder, cant win an header anywhere in our third from any of our defence. Halme isn't the answer at holding mid and neither it seems is Dougall. So if the diamond is to succeed it needs that position filling, another centre half, another LB and then maybe, only maybe will we finish 3rd from bottom !
Brown should have burst the net. Some real comedy goalkeeping there, looks like he's never faced a corner before.
Looking at things from the most optimistic angle ever: 1. We were second best everywhere on the pitch all game. 2. Brown's miss was ridiculous - FFS hit the target! Different game after that. 3. Goodnight Vienna
You missed out the RB. For weeks I have read on here of Halme's attributes and I have yet to see any. Just because he his better than Dougal in the defensive role does not make him a player to rave about as he gets bullied too much for me. Thomas continues to flatter yet deceive. We don't look fit enough, but that might be mental rather than physical.
Goal 1: lost the ball on the edge of our own box Goal 2: Mads beaten easily from a corner, again Goal 3: pathetic attempt at muscling Curtis off the ball from our new CB Goal 4: new CB easily beaten in the air from a corner What is wrong with these lads? The mistakes they're making are so, so basic. As poor as we've been going forward the last few games, how do they expect to be able to win games when they just don't bother to win cheap headers into their box and give it away fannying about under pressure? Brown's miss was so poor as well at the other end, how can you not hit the target from there ffs. Great goal from Cauley, shame it counted for nothing.
Apart from the goal Woodrow didnt impress in the attacking midfield role, time to scrap the diamond in my opinion
Not a prayer that will happen. It’s the only way of playing Struber has. There is no plan B. Never mind let’s get some more Austrians in this week....
Just watched highlights on an iPad, was goal 3 more case of he was caught wrong side? Goal 4 I think the keeper made a call, cos new guy seemed to start to go and then stopped and his reaction made me think keeper called and never actually committed.
It worked well in the beginning but it seems that teams have figured us out, certainly doesnt help when were playing with players out of position either.
It's much easier from higher up. Must be confusing with all those people running about in front of you. Well, opposition players running about, at any rate.
I know it's not fashionable to criticise Collins in any way but wasn't he absent for all four goals? He seemed to be indecisive, flat footed and largely rooted to the spot. Also the short kick that bounced off a Pompey player and almost into the net was another amateur unforced error. Can't help but think that if Radlinger had done that there'd be multiple threads calling for Collins to be reinstated. Or is it just me?
It didn't make for good viewing. People have been calling for Collins to get his chance then he kicks the ball straight at Marquis and is stuck to his line to let in two weak goals inside his own six yard box. Sollbauer for another goal was weak as piss in the challenge and needs to toughen up. Brown should have been making it 2-2 and then we would have had a different game. Ritzmaier needs to be hitting the target instead of blazing over. It's barmy how hard football players find hitting the target to be when it's their profession and they are on good money. It makes you wonder what they do in training all week. The only plus on the highlights was the Woodrow strike showing the rest of them how it's done.
