Oh yeah good maths skills. I managed to get that spectacularly wrong didn't I. I used to get £4 pocket money and no phone. How times have changed.
That sounds about right at ours as well which is why I don’t have a breakfast sandwich on a Friday anymore.
I used to get £2.50 a week and usually managed to save half of it, especially if Barnsley were away that week. And don't forget, the chocolate bars were twice the size. In fact, a Wagon Wheel was about three feet wide. Then we all went metric... it was downhill after that.
I don't know if you saw the recent threat about the Syrian refugee (young boy) in Canada who wanted to play ice hockey to fit in with his friends - The whole town rallied round to buy him the kit and give him lessons. Very touching story.
No I didn't, but that's awesome. Canadians are generally much more sympathetic to people in need, especially those from other countries, than we seem to be in the UK.
