    Had this pop up as a you tube suggestion - I had forgotton how good she was - wonder what happened to her
    Got an album or 2 of hers on CD somewhere but hadnt listened to her for years

    - whole radio 2 concert looked like it was quite good

    Oddly enough, and for no apparent reason, this song popped into my head earlier today while driving back from town. I have the album, but haven't played it in over 20 years. I'll have to dig it out again now.

    I got her debut album back in the day. Thought she should have been bigger than she was. Her cover of Nothing Else Matters is probably better than her own stuff like such as Breathe In.

    I know I tend to bring music threads back to The Who, The Jam, etc so I'm not going to change now.

    I was pi55ing about on YouTube the other day and this long forgotten gem popped up. I hadn't heard it in years and had not really thought about it in years either. Great video alongside the song.

    Now cars don't have cd players I have had to download a few hundred of my favourite tracks to a memory stick. Whilst doing so I remembered fond memories of Richard Thompson doing this. The best motor cycle song ever written. This is a You Tube live version.

    Actually that was the only track on the Breath In Album she didnt co -write ( with Judie Tzuke - another name from the past) and most of the rest of it is pretty good too - she looked good in those days as well. Did a bit of digging as my curiousity was getting to me - she is still going but gone a bit country last released an album in 2018 but the couple of tracks I found on youtube not even close to the stuff on Breath In
    Surprised you got that album you must be older than I thought you were :)

    Always feel free to bring a music thread back to the Who - some of my first albums on vinyl or Audio cassette with Dolby were theirs - as were the Beetles who originally wrote that song - never seen that Keith Moon version before though

    Moon the Loon, one of the 3 great drummers of the 60's. Ginger Baker & Art Blakey would be my other two. There are many more possibles TBH. Moon shared a lot with those two in his style. So sad he burned out when he did, but the Who would not have been the Who without him & Entwhistle, who went on his way out with hookers & coke at his bedside. Rock & roll. I'm hoping Michael Buble, Coldplay & Ed Sheeran die of overdoses in 2020. Seems unlikely.

    On the way to work today in Central London, I started to hear music, getting progressively louder. A bloke walking in front of me was looking left, right, up, down - you couldn't quite tell where it was coming from. Then someone passed me on his bike with a rucksack on his back really blasting out "That's love that it is". I recognised the tune but for the life of me couldn't remember who sang it until I googled it later. A band I always quite liked back in the 80s but had forgotten about.

    Completely agree about Moon. I'm biased but for me he is the greatest drummer of all time, perhaps not technically but he had something more technically proficient drummers didn't. I've seen The Who live three times, sadly never with Moon. He definitely went too early.

    It is a very obscure version but very unique. I'd go as far as saying that some of the best albums ever made were by The Who.

    Not including Ringo in your great drummers list? Must admit Moon and Baker would be in my 3 as well - dont know much about Blakey but the 60's is a bit early for me - so when thinking of great drummers I tend to go with Jon Bonham and Neal Peart along with Moon and Baker
    I think you will be disappointed with your hope about todays musicians

    That's a good one too. I heard it at the time, so it's a bit old news. I'm mostly into new music, or completely lost treasures, which are hard to find these days. I still love all the music of my youth though & the Jam, Clash, Pistols, Bowie are part of that, but only a foundation & a bit of reverie. Music goes on whether it is Bach, Robert Johnson or the Beatles.
