that Philip Schofield is being attacked over a comment he made over Trumps attack on the Iranian General. Apparently he said something along the lines of apparently Trump had sought advice , let’s hope it wasn’t from the cleaner. He’s now getting slaughtered by some types for being derogatory about cleaners! I mean is it not obvious that he just meant somebody other than a security/ military expert, nobody will be able to say owt soon!
What, like complaining about someone saying something they didn’t like? I think the ‘not be able to say owt soon’ argument should be completely banned. By its very nature it is only ever used to complain about and/or try to limit someone being allowed to say something which is the very thing the person using the phrase is complaining about in the first place.
Sorry JD but as far as I can see, it was a totally innocent remark to illustrate a point , and to claim he was being derogatory to cleaners is just ridiculous. Course suppose it’s feasible that a military expert jacked it in and went cleaning but probably unlikely.
I completely agree with you that his remark was 100% an innocent joke and that there was nothing wrong with it (based on your telling of it, I haven’t seen it). My comment was about the bit I quoted which is always, without fail, hypocritical yet people continue to put it forward as if it is a legitimate argument.
I’ve cleaned the bathroom today and could shat myself with grief over schofields attack on the likes of myself.
