FA Cup didn't exist pre WWII. Crimbo present and only 1 question I wish to ask it. Not fit for purpose!
I was given a Google Home Mini and I'm equally disappointed. It won't play any music you ask for, unless there's a paid subscription - even stuff I already have on my phone - and will only interact with a Chromecast for streaming stuff (I have a Fire Stick). It knew the Barnsley v Derby score but couldn't even tell me our goal scorer.
I have an amazon echo in my kitchen. Use it tonnes to set timers whilst cooking and play music via my spotify premium account. Wouldn't really use it for anything else but for 30 quid or whatever it was i feel like ive got my money's worth out of it this past six months or so.
I have had an Echo plus since last black Friday. Agree with the above in regards music..etc and the Santa updates this Xmas were great for the young un.
Love our Echo, we have the Amazon music subscription so use it all the time for playing music. The kids love some of the games on it too.
I've 7 set up in the house, use them for Amazon music unlimited, controlling lights and it's great as an intercom especially when lad is in his sitting room upstairs with door closed cause he's on his PlayStation with headset on. Don't have to scream from the bottom of the stairs to tell him his food is ready
I recently bought an Echo. The other day it miss heard me saying "four" for "fart". In other words ask your Echo to fart.
They're excellent. I use mine to control house lights, central heating and view my cctv camera at the door. I tried asking who won the FA cup in 1913 and she said (correctly) Burnley. Try asking who won the "English FA cup in 1912" and you should get an answer.
We have 3 in the house now and all connected to Phillips Hue lighting which we are slowly building up. We use the intercom too and l find the communicate feature on the app worthwhile when the missus is home and has her phone on silent.
Yeh I use it when out and trying to ring son at home cause he puts his phone on silent. Keep meaning to look at the Philips Hue stuff
I've got an Echo. As long as you install the apps you want it works pretty well. The subscription music is a pain but I listen to radio on it and will be linking it to my Apple account.
