From what I can gather he's on his own and all the old staff are still there. He's trying to get them to play his way and they're used to playing quite negatively. Plus a lack of goal scorers. His English is still quite poor too, wasn't it only towards the end of last season when he started doing solo press conferences? Ian probably knows better but there seems to be a bit of an anti foreigner bias too when it comes to Scottish football. Having said all that Ross seems to have got the wins Jibs needed to steer them out of the relegabion zone so maybe the more cautious approach is more what's needed?
A dozen games without a win between our two clubs. It was silly of him off the back of three defeats from three games and his new employers showing faith in him that he left the country before their biggest derby. Now he's lost four in four and they got beaten to nill at home by their most hated rival, the decision looks even more daft.
I watched the Edinburgh derby yesterday and Hearts were so devoid of quality that they could have still been playing now and I don't think they would have scored. I doubt that any manager could turn Hearts around within four games which is all he has had. I think he will turn things around, if given time (and if he doesn't walk) but based on what I witnessed yesterday he has a massive job on his hands up there.
True but Hearts had even less quality than Hibs (difficult I know). They really were abysmal and I really felt for Daniel having to stand and watch the professional footballers who will make or break him play like pub players.
Totally agree. Never seen a team with so many terrible players. If they had even a half decent striker they would have won.
Hearts are one of the biggest teams outside of the old firm, they haven't been relegated for nearly 40 years and made the cup final last year. He's not took on a ***** club here.
Historically or now? I'm only going by their forum but they haven't got a good word to say about any of the players or indeed Craig Levein who recruited most of them. I haven't a clue but I'm getting the Sunderland vibe from them, no club is too big to go down.
They were relegated in 2014 among serious financial issues. Won the league in 2015 and came straight back up, much to Rangers' irritation.
It went wrong for him in 1989, when Tim Berners-Lee invented the world wide web. 30 years later and previously respected media companies like the BBC think it's OK to ask where it all went wrong after four fk*cing games.
It all went wrong when he took the job. Recipe for disaster. A poor team, poor league, in an untenable position. His choice of club was a guaranteed bad mark on his Cv which he may well be updating very soon. Pity but he makes his own choices.
