What is up with him lately? His touch is off and he dont look as bothered as he was in past Usually first over to applaud us and last to leave at Full Time but today he stood near half way line applauded us for about 5seconds if that and went straight down tunnel
Cannot be happy being constantly played out of position. I can see him wanting to join a club next month that will play to his strengths and put him in his preferred position.
I hope that someone was recording the post match activities, because Cauley was there with the rest of the team applauding the fans and indeed was the first one to clap the East Stand lot. To suggest he quickly buggered off is ridiculous.
Certainly not been at his best in recent games but hes a player we cannot do without...... when played up front.
He’s a top quality striker who’s not had a great deal of support but who works his nuts off every game, despite being played out of position, and who’s achieved a good goals to games ratio.
Im not slagging him off or owt as he is by far my Favourite player but just recently he dont seem himself. Wheter its because hes out of position who knows
He definitely seems off it the last few games. He's either sulking because he doesn't want to play in that position or hes been tapped up. He is wasted not playing upfront but brown and chaplin are better when they are pushed wide.
I thought Cauley had a decent game after a poor one on Wednesay, but all players have an off game now and then don't they. If he pops a goal in or two against Millwall then don't be surprised, as he is a good finisher in the main.
He’s having a lot of the ball, a hell of a lot more in this role than as a lone striker so the odd bad touch or pass is always going to be highlighted. I think he’s been punished for being too hard working If there’s such a thing. By punished I mean he’s been dropped deeper than his preferred striking role, I wasn’t best pleased when this manager started playing him in this role but it’s obviously working, Chaplin has got 6 in 6 now as a striker, so again fair play to Struber. Cauley is still getting on the scoresheet too. I must admit it was strange at one point yesterday when Cauley was back at left back winning back the ball and minutes later Bambo is banging in the 5th. Weird but effective tactics.
There is some tripe on here about Woodrow. I thought he played very well yesterday. Playing deeper he nursed the young left back through the game and covered the space behind when the lad ventured forward, and I thought his link play was excellent.
Top player is Woodrow. I don’t think he’ll mind playing where he does, it’s like a front 3 anyway. Of course he’ll favour banging goals in, but I think he’s a team player and oozes confidence with the ball regardless of where it is on the pitch, and he can score from all over as well.
