So many positives today. Going forward we are a joy to watch, and if replacing bahre with Thomas was tactical, then it was a master stroke, because QPR couldn’t deal with our pace, quick passing and movement. Thomas just made life a lot worse for them.

There really is room for optimism in atttack, but as long as we continue to defend like we do, we can’t expect to move forward, unless we keep banging them in at today’s rate.

That is the problem though. We looked like we could score at will today but we still conceded three. We've simply got to cut out the calamity defending.

It’s very reminiscent of the season under Dave Bassett, goals galore

I can’t really pick out anyone to fault for their goals today, but we’re just generally wobbly

Fantastic in attack but awful in defence. Think the midfield diamond exposes the full backs a lot so we need stronger, dare I say more experienced, players in there.

You reckon Bahre was tactically subbed?

He didn't fake a limp or owt it has to be said.

He still seems to be wearing someone else's shorts.

not convinced about Thomas unless he's out wide.

except we finished 4th, and won games, and had experience like geoff Thomas, van der laan, Kevin Richardson, Steve Chettle etc

but apart from that it’s very similar ;)

Apart from that's one of our best ever sides and this is the worst in at least thirty years.

There were a few individual errors but we got away with them. You're right though as a unit we still look like we will buckle under pressure.

    I
I was inferring that the seasons were similar with the volume of goals scored and conceded per game

It feels a bit mean to be talking about defending after such a big win, a bit like looking for negatives, but its so bad you can’t ignore it.
