    Hopefully we put a condition on Scottish Independence in that you must take the North of England with you so Middle England can never bestow another Tory ******* prime minister on us .

    In an ideal world, I'd want a huge Labour majority. I'd be more than happy with a hung parliament, with the SNP totally whitewashing(or is it yellow washing)the Scottish seats allowing a Labour/SNP working agreement(can't see any official, formal coalition being formed after the Tory/LibDems fiasco). I think it would work out best for both England and Scotland in the long term.

    I think Sturgeon is a decent politician. I hope that in a best case scenario as I see it Labour & the SNP could lead a coalition government. My big worry is a Johnson majority. The idea that the Tories pass their withdrawal agreement & Brexit is done is cloud cuckoo land I'm afraid. If Johnson carries on with his intransigence we are heading for no deal in 2021. Something that is going to help no one in our part of the world.

    Dragon get this. Nicola is very pro Scottish and everything she says and does is from a pro Scottish angle. But anti English she is not. Although I'll give you she is like most Scots very anti Tory. Even has a deep hatred for them.

    Nail on the head. I've met so many Scots & have a lot of friends north of the border. I play weddings for people up there & they never look down on me because i've come from England. In Fact they are amazed I travelled so far to play for them. They make me feel incredibly welcome. A country that voted overwhelmingly remain is being dragged into one of the biggest political mistakes of the last two centuries & I fully get where they are coming from. Personally I'd be sad to see the break up of the union, but it not my decision to make.

    Agree Ian entirely. But from a selfish point of view. I hope SNP and labour come together. Oust this lot and Hopefully labour will bring the Scots back in the fold. Independence for Scotland would cripple us. Please please don't leave us with them shithouses. We need you onside Otherwise going forward we could be stuck wi em. If the Tories get in then good luck with Independence. Then Independence for South yorks is all we can hope for.
