What I immediately found suspicious was the reference to Leeds hospital.

There is no hospital in Leeds called by that name. Its either Leeds General infirmary or St James's.

On another point. I hate the way that the written press and social media is being used to try and manipulate and influence the general public akin to that of World War 2 propaganda.

Very ugly and deceitful world we live in right now.

what like saying "get brexit done" that sort of simplifying a compley issue

In any case I am not sure I follow your logic - of course I am simplifying a complex issue but I dont think someone stating that because the population has increased by a few percent its harder for hospitals to cope - if anything if other things remain equal it actually makes it easier
Of course if you dont build any more hospitals and make it unappealing to work there so Doctors and nurses go elsewhere that might have a detrimental effect of course

Well you’re right it doesn’t automatically follow.

    but it is true ;)

edit for context - total tax receipts 2010/11 £453.6bn total for 2017/18 £623.36bn.

I think even adjusting for inflation we can say that tax receipts outstripped population growth considerably during that period.

I could research the exact numbers for 'employed people' which I know also rose by a greater % than the general population but we already know that's viewed with suspicion.

But who needs facts when people 'feel' like it's just wrong.

DR - sadly sentences 3/4 are a tad illogical - lets hope we have a good result tonight!
