    "....
"The mindset was not to go on and win the game, the personality is not to go and get the next goal, many players were thinking it would be difficult.

"This change is my job and responsibility, I need to change the mindset so the players believe they can win, but now it's only a mentality situation. The history of losing is in their minds."

Hmmm!! Seems he is avoiding the obvious (or at least not commenting publicly). Since the most important requirement to gain experience is time measured in months, if not years, then, unless he is a miracle worker, his task is nigh on impossible. January is the key and the best way to "change their mindset" is with some experience alongside them to guide and marshall them on the pitch.

Mmm. Stendels mindset was always to go on and get more goals. Mind you, trying to be diplomatic in a foreign language must be tough.

Someone on the hearts forum put the tykes tv q & a on with Conway and Stendel. Hadn't really noticed that Conways explanation of experience for next season in the championship and Daniel's was already poles apart. We wont be getting what we need in January, no way.

I think there will be more out than in and we will bring one in at the beginning of Jan and then save another signing for last knockings for them that get off on that sort of thing(Transfer Deadline Day).

We were like Sheffield United against Man United. Go in front then change the way we play that had worked well and end up messing up instead of killing off the game.

Three defeats in four isn't the new coach syndrome we were hoping for.

Pre-match, Chaplin heavily endorsed what Struber was trying to do. In getting that winning mentality instilled and not to panic when facing pressure.

Yes part is down to experience, but it’s now mainly a mentality thing.

The squad has 20 games of experience at Champ level. Plus at least 30+ historical games for our new signings. Again, Chaplin said that he now knows he’s good enough at this level and is confident. The same cannot be said about our defenders. Maybe they’re not good enough full stop, and deep down they know that. We can see promise in them - but perhaps that’s all it is. You can’t sign 4 defenders and expect them all to succeed.

We get this from players whom the manager likes and gets given regular starting place in the team. We had it with Murray. Not saying what he says aint true, but there can be other reasons why its said.

I think he’s actually right in what he says, you see it all the time in teams struggling, they play well but as soon as there is a set back their heads drop.
He can’t change the personnel in the short term so he has to concentrate on what he can, that messages says you are good enough, which surely has to better than saying we need experience(cos you’re not good enough).

That’s not to say of course a couple of half decent signings wouldn’t go amiss in Jan.

Pre match he was talking of experience and mentioned Bahre at 24 and games played, maybe he should have read Mowatt`s stats and the level he has played at. Or do the Austrian/Germans think that the German lower leagues are better than ours. Lot to learn yet has Grrrr but its early days for him.

Struber can say what he likes, the decision to put on Odour at 90mins and leave the most experienced midfielder in Kenny on the bench smacks of amateurism

Agree with this. Terrible decision. Awful. 2-2 away from home 90th minute is not the time to give someone their professional debut.

It's not that Odour did anything wrong it's that Struber could have introduced someone who would do something right, like pick up a player at the back post for instance.

    Inexplicable and indefensible decision.
