the team played quite well and there was no lack of effort. Barnsley deserved a point. They need to be better with the final ball too. Also try some first time shots. Not over impressed with Radlinger though. NOW the referee was a total 'homeboy' he was diabolical and made a large contribution to the result. A good turn out for by the Reds fans and very vocal too, enjoyed getting amongst them again. A good deal stayed behind to applaud the team, and they deserved the applause. You could see they appreciated the fans getting behind them. There were few who booed though. All in all they need to get a bit sharper with passing and defence . But almost a decent team.
as soon as they showed 5 mins extra time my gut said they would score, they have scored quite a few goals at the death.
Summary of the season so far really. Plenty of effort, enthusiasm and possession, and some nice passages of play, all undone by a porous defence. I don't agree with the booing. Players aren't good enough and are playing to their maximum most weeks, but coming short. Boards responsibility to give the coach some decent to work with. Was Crazy Conway mixing with the fans in the concourse today?
I was there. We absolutely hammered them from halftime to the point they scored. Total and utter one way traffic and the fact we weren't out of sight before their second goal cost us the game. That and Ben Williams gifting them a goal when they looked like they wouldn't have a kick the whole half.
I was thinking this earlier @Redhelen. Only way we stand half a chance, make Oakwell a fortress again. Easier said than done but we live in hope!
