Grow the **** up you pathetic morons!!! This team irrespective of there quality are trying there ****** off every game and for me that’s what I want when I pay my money to see them play, obviously we want wins as fans but football is a game of ups and downs!! The drivel constantly touted on here is nothing beyond a joke and mainly written by well educated adults, yes the board got things wrong but they’ve not killed anyone or raped anyone, they’ve done what they thought was a good move and it’s not worked out. Will I go next year if we don’t win another game this season?? 100% this club is my team and very much like a marriage your supposed to stick with one another through thick and thin even though your partner can be a pain in the arse at times!!
Agree with the shouting at players. Don't like it myself and I don't think it's their fault. I'm fortunate enough to hear a few bits and bobs that turn out to be true and even the most positive fan wouldn't forgive it. On a side note, a group of 20 odd foreign football fans were gonna come to the QPR home game. They've now changed their mind and going to watch one of the Sheffield teams (cannot remember which one). They've decided against it because one of their mates played for the club recently and were absolutely disgusted with his treatment under this board.
Agree totally about abusing the players, it achieves nothing and it's not their fault that they've been put in this position. Last night there were fans stood alongside each other after the final whistle, all supporting the same team, some of them shouting horrific abuse at the young lads, and others clapping them and thanking them for their efforts. A bizarre mixture. As far as the owners are concerned, for me it's a different matter. They are totally incompetent and they're tearing our club apart. That's my honest opinion and I'll continue to express it from time to time. I do however realise that other opinions are available.
I see you have a different point of view from some of your fellow fans. That's fine but i was at the game last night and i wouldn't agree they were all 'trying'. I won't single out players but there were a good number yesterday who played like they had lost the game before it even started. Or played in short bursts and then disappeared. I will single out Alex Mowett who is running his blood to water every week and must wonder if he's run over 10 black cats. The fact he's putting so much in and and taking on responsibilities that others should be dealing with means mistakes are creeping into his game. My heart bleeds for some of these lads and the mismanagement that they are paying the price for. Of course I'll be there on Saturday (going through more agonies) but this group of Directors have lost my support (regardless of how the team performs). They need to go.
I was unfortunate enough to be sat right in front of these morons during the match. A constant stream of foul abuse aimed at the steward and a group of young kids who were the nearest Boro fans to us. Changed in the second half to inexplicable abuse towards Jacob Brown. No way any players could hear it though. Only one racist bit ( **** off Lee you slanty eyed lovely person) Felt sorry for folk around who could be upset by it all. The worst culprit did a disappearing act when the steward supervisor came up and then said he was fetching the police (they didn’t come!) Felt steward handled it well and I shook his hand at the end as well as the female steward who was abused earlier by another ******. Goes without saying that it was a small minority of fans boozed up but unpleasant nevertheless.
Why do people have to always say that players are not trying when they lose. It’s last thing you can accuse our lads of doing.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is untrue. I 100% believe they thought it was a good financial move and nothing more. I do not think for a moment they care about the on field performances and results and nothing I've seen so far has convinced me otherwise. For the record I do not believe the abuse of the players is acceptable.
So...you come on the board and tell people not to abuse the players yet in attempting to make your point you abuse the fans on here!! I have some sympathy with wanting to get behind the players. However, as time passes and people get more and more disillusioned they are voting with their mouths. Soon they'll vote with their feet. People are exremely frustrated after watching enforced crap for months. The language might be overly colourful but overall people SHOULD complain. The performances are NOT good enough.
p.s.... I wasnt at last night's game so can't comment about racist abuse so please don't infer I am condoning that. I am merely stating that people have a right to moan (about the performances). Hope that's clear.
I agree totally about adults screaming abuse at players, but let's keep it at that and not turn it to criticism of people posting on here. No one's suggesting Conway and Co have raped or murdered, but in the context of this being a football forum and them being the club's owners, they will be scrutinised. Every time we lose a game in groundhog day fashion, people will look to blame them. Who else can we vent our displeasure on? Certainly not each other, and to a degree, not the players - they surely get off on 'diminished responsibility'. Yes, they have got things badly wrong, but it's not something you can put down to experience when every game since, bar one has served as a slap in the face to remind us of the fact.
No evidence at all that they did what they thought was a good move for a football team. Great move for their bank accounts but surely you aren't claiming that they believed they were making our football team stronger
People don't. For much of the season I couldn't fault the players' efforts, they have given their all. And that has been the overwhelming verdict from the majority. However, it is my opinion that wasn't the case last night, there were players who could have done much more. I'm not alone in that opinion, there are a number of others who have praised the efforts all season but saw a marked difference last night.
All I can say is that this has nothing to do with moaning about the performance of the team. It was the same lads behind me that came down at the end to abuse the players.
That's fair enough, and I'm not saying you're wrong, it's opinions. My point was more that the majority haven't been berating the players for lack of effort this season, the opposite in fact. Some of us thought we saw it in them last night, we may have been wrong, but it was a genuine critique of what we believed we saw, not a got to lazy criticism.
We didn’t lose last night through lack of effort by anyone. Not sure which individual players you are referring to.
They aren't morons for blowing off steam and having a different opinion to yours. Each fan reacts differently and this team of ours aren't learning from basic mistakes and keep making the same silly errors.
Can’t agree. A fan that reacts by giving a torrent of disgusting abuse towards the players at the end of the match isn’t just letting off steam. Especially when they were bellowing similar abuse throughout the game.
