I think we should all sit round the camp fire and throw all of our negativity in it. It cleanses the soul. Touch the mood stone and look to the heavens for an answer.
Well am away for a couple of days(York) but I will stock the fridge up for Weds neet, finger crossed.
Because its his job, he's a professional, his team mates would know straight away, he'd be out of a job, probably never employable again, he'd have no self respect, his own character would be impugned, it would go against all the basic principles of sport........and it doesn't make sense. That's off the top of my head. Now you tell me why he would.
Because defending like that after all their years learning how to play football can’t have been an accident .
I keep saying this...i do actually get tired of saying it too. You could never ever question the heart and desire of this extremely young side. The defence....is just simply not good enough....we are now on our 3rd coach played a multitude of styles and formations and the net result ...the same. Mistake after mistake at the back, gifting the opposition goals and victories. I thought for the first time for ages today, we were the best team....some of our passing and movement were first rate. I think this had a lot to do with the inclusion of Bahre (we therefore had 3 footballers on the pitch, who could pass and hold the ball). Unfortunately whoever we play, all they have to do is get near our 18 yard box and we will do the rest for them!! If only we had some experience eh.....oh well suits know best!!!!
I've been playing since nursery and I'd look clueless in a professional game. I really don't think they chose to play badly, l wouldn't even question their commitment. I just don't think they're anywhere near good enough for this league at this time. Whether they ever will be, I don't know. It doesn't look like it to me, but I've been wrong as often as I've been right with young players.
Well at least you came up with a theory - and it does look like nothing has been learned. But they're either inexperienced or incompetent or both. Not dishonest.
TBB your right I was seething with rage at the defending when I wrote it and all rationale went out the window . It’s just that it seems inconceivable that any semblance of defending seems to leave our defenders minds when we have to defend . I’ve seen them defend a lot better earlier in season that’s not to say they were defendig well mind.
One reason why a defender might deliberately lose a few games is that they know they aren't good enough for the league they're in and will be released if they stay up but retained if they go down. Not saying that's the case here but I'm certain it happens, we've seen players keep their job solely because those in charge know the league below is significantly easier quite a few times. I'm convinced it happened the last time we went down with a few players destined for unemployment had we managed to stay up.
Fair enough . I was seething when I wrote it and being bloody minded . Calming down a bit now and obviously you were right . However I’ve seen people post a lot worse than that on here without being challenged
Inexperienced - definitely. And definitely not good enough at this level right now. To be honest I'd be surprised if they ever will be and think there will be some red numbers in the spreadsheet when we sell them.
Well it isn't the case here. Not with them all being career minded youngsters, and it being only November.
No I definitely don't think it's the case here at all. I just don't think they're good enough. I was just trying to think of a reason it could and probably does happen occasionally
