Did she try to misrepresent that Corbyn said that though? That's not my perception. As I said before, if there are comments she's made elsewhere, fair enough, that's enough more stupid.

Why should she be allowed to target, smear, abuse and lie about someone simply because she's a good looking Jewish woman and then complain when someone abuses her in response?

There are elements of his history I've posted about previously which I've found abhorrent but many have written off as lies ( see Donny's post) right wing press etc etc. You're entitled to form an opposite view to mine and I respect your right whilst disagreeing. It's all about opinions on here and its a shame that so many have to be so barbed with those who don't share the same view.

In respect of her dishonesty - did she doctor the image/ fake the photograph herself to present a (false) representation of JC or did she simply buy a t shirt bearing that image ?

In either case I do believe that the stance she's taken on antisemitism within labour is as a result of her Jewish heritage, I also believe that it's the vitriol she's been subjected to as a result of her stance that is the motivation behind her wearing that image.If there wasn't an issue within the labour party, if there wasn't a case to answer, why would she have been pilloried to the degree that she has ?

I believe that antisemitism is a form of racism, to me. the message portrayed by the image on her shirt is the hypocrisy of JC campaigning against apartheid whilst heading a party where it's alleged that antisemitism is rife, and where he himself is accused of anti Jewish sympathies ( our friends hamas ??)

So whilst his supporters are appalled by the use of that image and see it as a gross misrepresentation of the truth about JC, the very powerful message about his perceived hypocrisy in respect of his stance on Israel and the Jewish people in general, whilst supporting those who oppose them, won't be lost on those like me who believe that there is an issue within the labour party.

 

many black people believe that erasing and cheapening the apartheid struggle is both offensive and racist. Black lives clearly do not matter to Riley.

I don't recall posting that you'd defenced Corbyn, in your haste to spout your usual bile you've obviously misread my post. Do pay attention.
I voted labour as a result of years of tory rule and what they'd done to our town, my family, the community I'd grown up in, if that's self centred than so be it. The alternative isn't to swing completely the other way.
I don't need to grow a pair sunshine I'm more than a match for you in all respects.Trust me.
I'd never be happy see others go without and am more than happy to pay my dues, what an awful thing to post, it doesn't mean that we shouldn't recognise that some of those claiming help are less genuine than others. Would depend how politically educated you were. Did the tories fact check website stunt actually misrepresent? Riley is following the alt right Bannon inspired playbook just as the tories are. That’s pretty irrelevant given the racism she clearly displayed.

 

It was just a genuine question, if she was purposefully misrepresenting, or if it was just an image she found with big white space? I think the latter is more likely. Particularly given what was on the original placard. Not the best idea to use an image of someone seemingly campaigning against apartheid and then suggest they are racist.

 

Rachel Riley is an Oxford educated person with a well documented and long running campaign against Jeremy Corbyn. Do you really think it was accidental and she is that thick she didn't realise?

She either chose it for the white space and didn't pay much attention to what it said, or she chose it knowing that the original pretty much went against the argument she wanted to put out into the public domain. The latter seems less likely, as she would have had to have considered that and you'd think she'd come to the conclusion that it was self defeating?

She’s spent 2 years posting attacks at Corbyn daily (literally, not an exaggeration). You’re being wilfully ignorant because you don’t like Corbyn. It is a very famous picture of the man.

 

There was a long post listing his protests against anti semitism. But carry on ignoring that. I know which parties have stirred up racial tension and it isnt the Labour party

Riley’s a nasty piece of work. Along with her mate Traci Oberman formerly of Eastenders she’s been on this hate campaign for a year or so.

They regularly share unsourced material, she’s supposedly offended by anti-semitism but regularly confuses anti-Isreal with anti-Jewish & said that ‘she’s not a typical Jew’ in reference to the shape of her nose.

They bullied a 16 year old girl with learning difficulties who was a Labour supporter & hadn’t actually said anything anti-semitic.

There’s an annual Durham miners gala where this year Jeremy Corbyn was a guest speaker which she’s described as like a Nazi rally.

They’ve called several Labour Party members anti-Semitic without evidence. She’s regularly posted photos of supposed Labour anti-semitism but the accounts normally have an egg for a profile picture & have next to no followers which leads me to believe that it’s either one nutcase setting up loads of accounts to abuse Riley or she’s set them up herself which I wouldn’t put past her with the amount of fake news she’s been happy to share for a long time.

Honestly anyone trying to defend her is in the wrong here. This isn’t an isolated incident. She couldn’t care less about anti-semitism as she doesn’t even mention it when it’s other parties who’s members have been under investigation. It’s a vicious campaign against one man who’s a lifelong campaigner for peace & Jewish causes.

She claims to be an advocate of not feeding trolls online yet she’s probably the biggest troll there is, up there with Katie Hopkins these days
