The Labour controlled council dumping on the people of Barnsley? Are you for real? Over the last decade of Tory austerity Barnsley Council has had its budget cut by central government by 40%, the biggest cut of any council in the whole of the UK. If the people of Barnsley are being dumped on, it’s not by the Labour Party.

Have you ever read the Chronicle page dedicated to planning issues ???
Is anyone seriously suggesting that ANY alteration to a public rights of way can be legally ignored by the planning department ???
    Jeez !!!

    Let's start again.

It is impossible to build a larger temporary bridge. The temporary bridge HAD to be this size.

Barnsley council are responsible for the new bridge which you said you like.

The new bridge cannot appear out of nowhere instantly so a temporary bridge had to be installed.

    Which bit would you change?

    Would you
A/. Magic the new bridge instantly
B/. Magic the temporary bridge larger
C/. Magic the crossing open again

    Choose one

Because you have to leave room to build a permanent one safely amongst other reasons already fully explained

With those facts considered have you finally realised you are wrong on this issue?

    Yer Guessing again.
Everyone can see that there is adequate space in that area for a fully functioning temporary bridge.
And everyone can see that Barnsley Council have made an absolutely mess of providing a bridge capable of getting football supporters to the ground.
Barnsley Council have inconvenienced thousands of people - not just for this season but for the foreseeable future.
Why anyone should try to shield Barnsley Council from criticism regarding this issue is beyond me.

I'm not guessing I'm using facts.

Where is there adequate space by the way?

    Is it
A/. In the middle of the road stopping traffic?
B/. In the middle of the railway station stopping trains?
C/. In the middle of a construction site stopping construction?

    Answers on a postcard please
