Have we appointed Neil Redfearn yet?

What?? Look at the bump in both Stoke and Huddersfield with a competent coach being appointed. Not sure it’ll be enough but Murray isn’t the answer, he’s the cheap option the owners are hoping they’ve eroded our expectations low enough to accept.

I echo the comments of those who say appointing Redfearn would be a tokenist and cynical move.

But it would be even worse than that. Appointing someone to reduce the immediate flak they are getting just for the sake of it goes against what they are allegedly trying to do with a statistical approach. It throws away the suggestion of playing to a plan, recruiting to a plan and all things that imply a plan exists. If they appoint redders, for me, it confirms there is no plan, no detail, no rigour. Just ego and ideology.

If they appointed Redders, does that mean he's the next highest statistically ranked in terms of the play style they supposedly wish to play? Or are they willing to abandon that rationale and have simply revisited the glowing praise they lavished on Daniel Stendel and now consider his appointment to be a dreadful mistake?

Its just a horrible car crash. Overseen by people who are either clueless, naïve or willing to say and do anything to preserve their own hubris.

You’re missing the rest of my post.

If we are appointing someone now, they need to be in. Gives them the international break to work with the team. Otherwise it’s just wasted.

Look at O’Neil at Stoke. He’s missing this week as he’s with NI. Vital time away from the club.

He wouldn’t be a manager though, he’d be a coach. Not that I’m suggesting we set him on because I wouldn’t personally.

He can coach youth, but out of the limelight.

When he’s the main coach, it doesn’t seem to work. Nothing wrong with it, just some aren’t suited to it.

I think Murray said by he same about himself.

Redders played his best football of his career here. Then became a bit of a nomad after leaving. Some players fit at certain clubs and coaches also.
Who's to say he wouldn't become a legend here again..
I'd give him a chance, see what happens. Least he knows all about us..

He would be a manager. He’s got a squad to manage with tactics, formations et al. That’s so different to just being a coach

I was a bit upset when I saw Toby's decapitated head in the laundry room on the Oakwell tour!

    Sibbick?
I admit, he was below par on Saturday, but that's a bit extreme.
