I enjoyed the bit where one of them asked if we spoke English up here. At least we have the good grace to sound similar to the surrounding towns and cities - Stokies all sound like less grating Scousers, despite Liverpool being nowhere near. Very confusing.
Someone bringing up the infamous boxing day clash when Ryan Shawcross and Ricardo Fuller somehow wasn't attacked. The only game to rival the Willard Liverpool match for someone on the pitch deserving a smack if a fan got to them.
I quite like Stoke fans. They dont seem quite as deluded as other big city clubs. Maybe that's because they've won less than us in their long history.
There isn't a proper city centre so to speak, so you get off the train and there's nothing. Absolutely nothing. And where there are things (Hanley, Burslem etc) it's not good. All the Stokies I've met have a toned down Liverpudlian accent for some reason. They like oatcakes (like a wholemeal pancake) - these are actually very nice with egg, bacon etc Neither the Britannia, nor Vale Park are anywhere near the main station. Which is really helpful. There, everyone's learned a few things about Stoke now.
No chance. They will probably be pretty relaxed they’ve got lots of money to spend in jan and the core of a good team that just isn’t clicking. We however are more likely to sell than strengthen in January
Ment it more in the "FFS is we can't beat Barnsley......" kind of a way. Yes objectively I agree regardless of the result this weekend they have a greater chance of turning things around than us.
Phew. I'm so glad there are no stupid people who voted Leave and that there aren't any morons in Barnsley at all, ever, in the history of man. Now... lets get together, scrounge some nice big rocks for when we've built our lovely house of glass.
