Given the poor performance yesterday against, at best, very ordinary opposition. A new impetus perhaps or just someone that can help address the players’ mindset and stop these individual basic errors that are costing us so dearly at the back and up front. Cue the mass of doom and gloom replies.
Individual mistakes get overlooked in winning teams to an extent but are glaringly obvious in a struggling team. I really feel for the lads but they have no choice but to try to battle through and improve. Tbf, the Cowleys seem to be getting something out of a poor Huddersfield side . It'll be interesting to see what they get to do in the January window.
It was the reason Morais got the job - to try and install belief into the players. The problem with our team, other than having little experience and missing a striker, is that the defensive unit, is not a unit. It suffers from confidence issues and mistakes every game. It’s not the players fault - it’s what happens when you’re thrust into the world’s 2nd biggest league at a young age from a foreign country at a standard 2-3 leagues higher than to you are used to. In fact if anything, if you look at it like that, Diaby and Mads have done really well. I’m not sure a new manger can make any change to it. And even a couple of signings in Jan may not help, by the time they settle in etc. IF we stay up, then it’ll be up there with the rest of our best achievements. Other teams will drop off and get pulled into it - they always do. Just got to hope that we can build the confidence and mind-set in time and add a ‘McBurnie type’ signing in Jan.
Hoping Murray now gets till xmas so skybet pay me out on him as a permanent manager . Wish Daniel was still managing us though
Listening to Murray yesterday it appears the owners are over here. Till Friday at least ( been present at last 2 games). Read into that what you will. Murray would not be drawn into whether he's in the frame,
i sense a disturbance in the force. also dont the board have a meeting the last thursday of the month
Just watched the highlights from Saturday on Calendar. John Hendrie was the guest summariser. Totally agree with his comment " you would have thought when Daniel Stendel left, Barnsley would have a replacement lined up, but no. For me, that needs to happen sooner rather than later." Well said Super John.
