From Giddings on Twitter. AM: “We started the game fairly well. We needed to take our opportunites. But we tired. We’ve had 2 big games and we just emptied ourselves out.” AM: “We finished strongly and there was only 1 team going to score but we lacked composure.” AM: “The goals we conceded today were really poor. It’s a common theme. Individuals have to improve, but if people aren’t taking the lessons on board then we’ll keep conceding goals.” AM: “We’re getting bored of hearing this young tag, this naive tag, we’re in a league niw where if you feel sorry for yourself it will eat you up. They need to stand up and man up a bit, but they know that.” AM: “A lot of these players have come from levels that are not like the one they are in; not just the quality but mentally as well. It was a tough one today. I didn’t think they had that energy and purpose today.” The last two seem a bit contradictory to me.
He finished his interview by saying "we're at home next and I fancy us against anyone at home". Obviously he hasn't watched us much this season.
I will fancy our chances more of breaking our no home win in seven if we have someone different in charge by then.
Says how bad we are when our own fans singing Barnsley get battered every where we go n from me conway n company out now
Is it a first for our season to be over before we've put the clocks back? And also, has anyone seen Jake since yesterday? #PrayForJake
The team is showing fight and as others have said they're not hiding but I think AM was a bit naive to wear them out before the game we had most chance of winning and inflicting damage on a rival relegation candidate I know he needs to make his mark and stand out from Daniel but maybe they over trained and he could have used his subs sooner?
It was a constant thing that people found comfort in when we weren’t picking up wins under Stendel that frequently the opposition fans said we were the best team they’ve played so far and we’ll be fine. The only difference I can see is Cauley has found his shooting boots again, we kick people more and play 5 at the back. This rhetoric that Dougall raised when he said he’d been fit for a month is also causing some falsehoods. He’s come back from back to back serious injuries, played one u23s match and it was coming up to an international break so it’s easy to understand why Stendel wasn’t using him for that period.
He only used two of his substitutes yesterday which baffled me and must have been disconcerting to the lads on the bench, Jack Walton excepted, who might have relished the chance to build on the momentum Jacob Brown's goal gave us. With six minutes added time there was definitely an opportunity to take something out of the game.
Took till 88 minutes to use his second sub the other day too despite him saying the players were dead on their feet. Seen nowt special from him other than the desperate switch to 5-3-2 which is hardly a tactical masterstroke when your defenders are ****.
I'm minded of the time Keith Hill switched to a diamond 4-4-2 and took Birmingham by surprise and then stuck with it so everyone else we played could prepare accordingly.
Employees don't work Sundays.. I see Vesp's gone aswell, they'll be back tho but in a different incarnation.... It's part of their jobs
