Has well and truly set in. I'm angry where we find ourselves yet when the classified results come on i'm not surprised. I just feel something's gone. My mate is looking after my season ticket for me and I don't miss going to games. I just look at my son and think there's more important things in life. It's nice to have that spring in your step with everything in equilibrium but deep down I agree with my father. They don't come and see me when I'm bad.
I forgot game was on. I’ve either been to or listened nearly every match since 1995. Remembered about 4.30 we were playing. Saw we were loosing. Checked again at 5.30. Sorry for being a terrible fan
My Dad said that a lot. His other favourites were "If they were playing in our garden, I'd shut the curtains" and "They'd do better to plant spuds at Oakwell with all the manure they put out on that pitch".
Agree with you fella. I've got a 6 year old and a 13 month old and while I've seen all home games this season I'm getting to the point where I'm not sure I can be arsed anymore. As you rightly point out, there are more important things in life.
Enjoy your baby.. They change so quick that first year. BFC will still be there when you are ready to get the young un addicted!
They grow up soo fast, mine’s just turned 20 and it seems to have gone in the blink of an eye. Enjoy being a new dad, you’ll always be Red regardless.
I agree with you. I almost feel like we deserve to be relegated after the appalling transfer window & the way we’ve treated Stendel. The most annoying thing for me is that me & many other regular fans could see all this coming. It’s not bad luck like it was when the McBurnie deal fell through it’s just bad planning. It’s so frustrating that supposedly knowledgeable people in charge of the club couldn’t see what would happen
Agree with this. Doesn't seem like two minutes ago out my youngest was born and here we are 13 months down the line!
With respect to you both, there are always things in life that are more important than football Whether winning or losing. Is as if your using the phrase to justify showing more interest in your families. Should be a given.
