Oh and that's surely the end for Ralph Hasenhüttl at Southampton. I don't think there can be any coming back from a 0-9 home loss. Interestingly he's another coach that's been renowned for playing the high press. I wonder if he had any say in Southampton's summer recruitment which on the face of it looks very poor.
That's how I remember it too. He was certainly very popular on here and most were gutted when he was recalled.
I thought Leicester called him back because Hecky fecked him about. I wanted to see more of him if owt else.
Opinions tended to be split between those that could see he was going to be quality (like you) and those of us who could see he'd got talent but that he needed to work on some stuff (like me). No one slagged him off, I don't know why people say things like that. I think they called him back because they could see he could do a job for them.
I was guilty of that at times, I didn’t really rate Kent that highly if I’m honest. Could tell in spells he had the ability but his attitude was questionable on some occasions. I didn’t think he’d make it and in reality he hasn’t, no surprise Liverpool sold him. Barnes however from what I remember was fantastic.
Me too. I really don't know why he was recalled but it was obvious that the lad had the quality to become an established premier league player.
He was obviously a really talented player but his work rate was a bit questionable. There was one home game in particular I remember he got some hammer mainly off team mates but also a bit off our fans because he just stood & watched an opposing full back go past him & either score or set a goal up. Obviously more than made up for been a bit lacking defensively by showing regular glimpses of quality. Was a bit frustrating as they recalled him but he was behind Mahrez, Albrighton, Gray & another who I can’t remember in the pecking order & barely kicked a ball for the rest of the season.
Cant remember any slagging him off at one point he was involved in almost every goal we scored. Either scoring or assistkng
There’s nothing wrong with loaning an occasional player or two. Loan players such as Barnes or McBurnie or James that you could never afford. People just don’t want 5 out of the starting 11 to be loans. Surely that’s not hard to grasp?
That may be the supporters' view but I get the impression that from the owners' perspective every space in the starting 11 or indeed the squad that is occupied by a loanee is one in which a BFC-owned asset is not appreciating in value.
yes they were! he got taken off at half time against villa when we got battered 3-0, everyone on here saying he was **** (ryan hedges came on for him at half time), go back and find the board then if you dont believe me
